Futaleufu mountains in Spring - Climate y Weather

sep

The Futaleufú watershed enjoys a mixture of alpine tundra and moist marine climate, with precipitation and weather patterns mirroring those of the Pacific Northwest region in the U.S. The town of Futaleufú lies on the cusp between the evergreen Valdivian temperate rainforest of the Chilean coast and the arid pampas of Argentina. The surrounding mountains, many of them with a year-round snowcap, tower over the town at heights of over 2,165 meters (7,100 ft). By traveling just a short distance within the watershed, visitors to the region can experience vastly different climates and microclimates.
